"Husun Gothic Sextant", Ser. 59024, manufactured 4/53 by Henry Hughes & Son, Ltd., of London. Sextant has brass frame w/inlaid silver arc -5 deg. to 125 deg. Micrometer drum reads full minutes of arc; vernier reads to 0'.2. Sextant equipped w/variable reading light. Total of 7 shade glasses for index mirror & horizon glass. Dovetailed mahogany case contains selection of telescopes, monocular, eyepiece shades, mounting rings and tools, etc.
