Single-draw telescope, marked on end cap “U.S. NAVY 9702” with overlaid OR symbol or monogram in center. Signed on the draw tube “Blunt. / New York”. Telescope made from tapered wood tube with brass end caps; objective lens with removable lens cover; brass draw tube with eyepiece and working sliding lens cover. Stored in its original mahogany box with brass latches (2022.47.3.2); slightly tarnished. Telescope in overall good condition. Overall: 3 1/8 x 39 1/4 x 3 1/8 in. (extended)
