Rubberstamped on reverse "PHOTOGRAPH BY/ CARLETON MITCHELL/ PLEASE CREDIT" and handwritten "The light on Hog Island marks the entrance/ to Nassau Harbor in the Bahamas, a welcome/ sanctuary for sailors. Indeed, New Providence Island/ (on which Nassau is located) was named for the/ providential shelter it gave an early voyager./ When the bar is dangerous a red flag is hoisted/ on this flag pole; at night the light shows/ red instead of the usual white.".
