Rear Commodore's Cup won by 3-masted schooner ATLANTIC 1904. Sterling silver urn (a)with lid (b) has capstan-like base, 2 large handles, 3-masted schooner on one side, crossed silver and enamel burgees on front. To the left is the blue and white burgee of the Larchmont Yacht Club, with most of the blue enamel missing. The right burgee is missing, residue indicates swallowtail style. Below is engraved "REAR COMMODORE'S CUP/ PRESENTED BY/ F. M. HOYT/ AUXILIARY SCHOONERS/ SEPT. 6TH. 1904/ WON BY/ ATLANTIC". Stamped in base of urn "SHREVE & CO./ SAN FRANCISCO/ STERLING/ 16 PINTS". Lid is removable, has lantern-like finial.
