Framed oil painting, by John S. Blunt, 1834, of 74 gun ship AMERICA (bu. 1781, Portsmouth, NH, under supervision of John Paul Jones. Congress presented vessel to France.) Stern and starboard visible, under full sail on port tack. Black hull with tan around two levels of guns. Sailing vessels in distance. Restored by Roger Dennis, 1970.
