Tintype; oversize; portrait of New London whaling master Sidney O. Buddington. He commanded the bark GEORGE HENRY of New London in 1860. He was a nephew of James M. Buddington and cousin of James W. Buddington. GEORGE HENRY, bark, built 1841 at Waldoboro, Maine, 307 tons, 105 x 25 x 12.9. Lost 1863 in Hudson Bay.
