Sea elephant, walrus, and seal lance. This lance has a spoon shaped blade with a metal head and sleeve. The wooden shaft for the handle is 54". For 30 years, whalers from New London, Connecticut used similar lances in their travels to Heard Island, located near the Antarctic Circle in the south Indian Ocean.
