Tooth. An adaptation of Fanny Campbell, after the anonymous image in the cover of "Fanny Campbell, the Female Pirate Captain" by Maturin Murray Ballou (1820-1895), published in Boston in 1845. A common subject on scrimshaw, this manifestation is atypical, as the lady's face has been cosmetically improved and seems out of phase with the original image and with the historical period.
