Bouquet of tropical bird feathers arranged to look like flowers and leaves in a small white and gold china vase. Feathers are orange, white, yellow, and greenish-blue. The glazed china vase is Victorian style, with foliate edges accented in gold, and a colorful, painted floral design on the front, and is undecorated on the back. Displayed in glass dome with wooden base (1941.80); flowers and dome are not original to each other.

The feather flowers were collected by Captain David Walker from his last voyage, which was aboard the GEORGE & MARY (1853-1857); The destination for this voyage is listed as "North Pacific Ocean and Elsewhere on a Whaling Voyage."
