Oval wood plaque with carved gold painted lettering and scrollwork: "S.S. AGWIDALE./ LAUNCHED, SEPT. 5, 1918./ Mrs. CLIFFORD D. MALLORY./ SPONSOR." Metal brackets at center remain, probably for holding christening bottle. AGWIDALE (steamship, bu. 1918, Newport News, VA by Newport News SB & Drydock Co; owned by AGWI Steamship Co.
