Half model of an unidentified sloop yacht. Vessel designer: W. Starling Burgess. Model construction: 4 lifts, starboard view, white topsides and deck, black bottom, backboard natural finish, made of two pieces of wood. Plaque: "SLOOP YACHT BY W. STARLING BURGESS/ MARBLEHEAD, MASS. 1915". This model hung in W.S. Burgess' yacht yard office in Marblehead, Mass. until the yard turned into an aircraft plant in 1916. Fin keel, raking sternpost, long overhand bow, long yacht counter, small transom.
