Wall clock, blinking eyes of a Black man with slightly exaggerated features; wood case; 6" dial behind brass and glass door surmounted by face of person. Face is golden/bronze, eyes (set back) and teeth are painted white. Blinking Eye clocks were made in Conn. c. 1875. (Fig. 283, "The Book of American Clocks", Palmer) Mr. Lyon repaired clock 9/14/66; repaired by Amos G. Avery, 12/13/71 (plb).
