Straw basket, square at bottom, round diameter, with lid. Handles at sides. Plain weave. Traces of black painted decorations; with lid. [Basket very similar to this was on exhibit at Worcester Art Museum, January, 1998; it was attributed to Nipmuc Indians, based on use of ash splints, painted decorations, and distinctive square bottom and round top.]
