One set of chime hooks, used for loading barrels onto ships by grasping and lifting by the chime; consisting of two iron hooks with cylindrical, rod-style shaft, each looped around iron rigging ring at top. Ends of each hook are splayed and then rolled upwards at the finish to form the grip. The two hooks are oriented with the upturned grips facing towards each other, so that each can attach to barrel chime (portion of the stave between the croze and the end of the barrel) for use.
