Vernier sextant, circle-pattern frame, used by Capt. Leo Hynes on the last full-sized trawler to operate out of Gloucester, the ADVENTURE. Two sets of filters, iron frame, brass fittings, wood handle. Stamped on arc, "No.8257", on back of horizon mirror "2/ C". Maker unknown. In case, 10 5/8" x 9 1/2" x 5 3/8".
