Silver box with separate lid decorated with anchor and floral spray in pink and green in relief. All 4 sides are slightly rounded. Anchor and cherry blossoms were symbols of the former Japanese Navy. Box, for rings or cuff-links, might have been made as memento of a naval school or club. Artist is "Miyamoto" and date of manufacture 1930-40. Small characters on the bottom mean "Pure Silver."
