George Dunn Gilderdale (master of whaling bark PERU), c. 1855-1860; "MARIA DORATA" upper left side of smaller carved shell decorated with seated female figure. Provenance: Capt. Gilderdale to his daughter Lizzie E. Miner (Mrs. Frank Miner) to their daughter Elizabeth Hooper Miner to her brother Dr. Donald Miner, October 1926. See also 1960.1-3.
