Nickel candleholder in gimbals and weighted at bottom for use aboard ship. Taken about 1917 from S.S. LEVIATHAN. Holder is 9 " long, with a spring top device at top which holds candle securely, bulbous at bottom and straight-sided above. Gimbals on bracket extend 6" out from wall of vessel. Holder lifts out of gimbals.
