Glass negative by Capt. George Comer, taken in Hudson Bay, ca. 1897-1905. Depicts a group of Inuit, including many children, posing inside the deck house on whaling schooner ERA . Note tin cups in the foreground. Comer often provided food to the Inuit in the winter during times of shortages.
