Glass negative by Capt. George Comer, taken at Repulse Bay, Hudson Bay, January 13, 1902. Depicts "Harry" [Ippaktuq Tasseok]. Comer describes this as "showing way of a native signaling others to come...temperature 36 below." Harry was the leader of a group of Inuit known as the Aivilik or Aivilingmiut. Information from original envelope identifies this as Photo 70, #85. Number 85 is etched into emulsion on lower part of plate.
