Glass negative by Capt. George Comer, taken in Hudson Bay, 1897-1912. Depicts two Inuit men seated in front of skin tent, possibly working with ivory. One of the men is described by Comer as a "native using a flint drill." This would be a type of drill known as a bow drill, with a flint tip. The other man appears to be carving. Information from original envelope identifies this as Photo 71.
