Glass negative by Capt. George Comer, taken at Cape Fullerton, Hudson Bay, on February 4, 1901. Depicts the whaling schooner ERA in winter quarters. Several dogs are visible near the vessel, and furs, probably arctic fox skins, are seen hanging in the rigging. Information from original envelope identifies this as Photo #134, #49. The number 49 is etched into lower right of emulsion on plate.
