Glass negative by Capt. George Comer, taken in Hudson Bay, ca. 1897-1912. Depicts an Inuit man seated in front of skin tent, possibly working with ivory. Comer describes other images taken at the same time as a "native using a flint drill." This would be a type of drill known as a bow drill, with a flint tip.
