Glass negative by Capt. George Comer, taken in Hudson Bay, ca. 1907-1912. Depicts a group of Inuit women and children on afterdeck of vessel, probably whaling schooner A.T. GIFFORD. The women wear dresses made from trade cloth obtained from the whalers, and the children are dressed in clothes also brought north by the Americans.
