Glass negative by Capt. George Comer, taken in Hudson Bay. Probably taken at Cape Fullerton, March 1905. Depicts a group of six Inuit women posing in front of a sail cloth backdrop, inside deck house onboard whaling schooner ERA, portion of ship's wheel at left. Two of the women wear parkas decorated with trade beads, and two of them wear skirts or dresses made from trade cloth. Information from original envelope identifies this as Photo # 15. Lantern slide 1966.339.29 was made from this negative.
