Sealskin "picture", Eskimo made, possibly representing Summer and Winter. Finished sealskin with cut-out figures stitched on, borders stitched with darker skin stretched and tacked over wooden frame. Figures are cut from darker skin about 1/32" thick. Top row depicts, left to right, sun, two dogs(?), 3 birds above a woman, an igloo or sod-house. Lower row depicts, left to right, woman with baby in parka hood piercing ice with staff, 2 fish below; and man, parka hood up, with spear pointed through ice, seal swimming below.
