Embroidered yarn picture of a bark flying an American flag. At the left appear a lighthouse and a house, and at the right a small sailing vessel. Donor states the picture was made by a young sailor about 1865. This huge ship portrait is a spectacular example of yarn and embroidery work that has a long tradition among British and American mariners.
