Sterling silver covered goblet by Gorham & Co. Commodore Harvey J. Flint Perpetual Challenge Cup Presented to R.I.Y.C. in 1875. Four inscriptions to winners are engraved on cover (not attached) which is adorned with silver castings of anchor and chain, serving as handles. Names of 3 winners are engraved on bowl. Rim of standard and rim of lid are decorated with running design of leaves and berries. Stand for cup (1965.387.A) is black painted capstan mounted on varnished wood base 11-1/2" max. length x 7" wide with silver plate naming trophy.
