Watercolor and gouache, attributed to Tinqua (active 1840-1870); part of series (1970.39-50) depicting Chinese Tea Industry from planting to shipping. No. 2 - Tea planting, circa 1850. One man stands, one man sits, to plant tea; 3 men across the stream are weeding the young tea plants; man carries plants to the men who are planting; in the background a small village is visible at the foot of the hills.
