Watercolor and gouache, attributed to Tinqua (active 1840-1870); part of series (1970.39-50) depicting Chinese Tea Industry from planting to shipping, c. 1850 or later, No. 10. 2 open-front buildings at left, one of which is a storehouse for the packages of cured tea; 2 men sit at a table and a small boy carries a tray; 2nd building houses a large furnace used to cure the tea leaves; 4 men are placing the leaves on a furnace and a 3rd man is feeding wood to the fire; at the right are 2 men approaching each other and a 3rd carrying bundles.
