Trophy, large sterling silver 2-handled cup on foot. Molding around rim & base, stylized writhing foliage around bottom part of cup and on each side above inscriptions; hollow scroll handles with leaf on top, rolled end of which is thumbpiece; on one side in raised lettering, "THE ROYAL ULSTER YACHT CLUB/ AGAINST/ THE NEW YORK YACHT CLUB/ MATCH FOR THE/ AMERICA'S CUP/ SHAMROCK vs COLUMBIA/ OCTOBER 1899"; on other side in raised lettering: "PRESENTED BY/ THE NEW YORK YACHT CLUB/ TO/ C. OLIVER ISELIN/ AS A RECOGNITION OF HIS SERVICES/ IN THE SUCCESSFUL DEFENSE OF/ THE AMERICA'S CUP/ BY THE YACHT/ COLUMBIA."; mark on bottom, "BLACK, STARR & FROST/ STERLING/ S/ (underline)".
