Model of the Mississippi River steamer CYCLONE made by Alexander Law in 1955; set on representation of the Mississippi River done in wood. The vessel is at a dock and tied to pilings. Around the mount are small plates giving the names of places the vessel called and the names of pilots, including Samuel L. Clemens. The vessel is white and paddlewheel burgundy. The stacks are black with burgundy and gilt tops. Decks are natural; roofs of housing yellow. Vessel built c. 1850-1860.
