Practice wherry; oval nameplate with American flag background reads: "Williams Racing Shell Boat Yard - Foxboro, Mass./ Single - Double - Fours - Eights - Barges - Wherries" and "American". Built c. 1934. Varnished, mahogany planks, spruce sheerstrakes, sliding sea, transom stern, mahogany braces. Varnished in color. Pair of spoon oars, new, made by Garofalo, pair of outriggers, pair of shoes secured in place, 2 nylon slings to hang boat by. Illustrated in "The Log", Vol. 29, No. 4, Jan. 1978.
