Beveled rectangular brass plaque, 5/16" thick. Cleat mounted in center. On top and sides, engraved rope along edge, with anchor jutting diagonally from upper left and right corners. Engraved in center above cleat: "RAINBOW"/ COMMODORE CLIFFORD D. MALLORY". Below cleat: "HERRESHOFF MANUFACTURING COMPANY/ BRISTOL, RHODE ISLAND". Reverse in green felt. (J Class RAINBOW, built 1934).
