altar cloth

Altar cloth; originally used on altar of Fishtown Chapel (chapel owned by and on the grounds of Mystic Seaport). Made in 4 stripes, 2 outer tapestry stripes fringed lengthwise in tans, browns, and red, and center stripe each of blue velvet and red velvet. Stripes overlapped and joined by pattern of running embroidery.
