Weathervane, originally on 5-story cotton mill building of the Crompton Co., West Warwick, Rhode Island; the building, Mill #5, was built around 1850; weathervane is 9 feet 11 inches overall; a metal-topped wooden base measures 4 feet 5 inches; from base rises a pole around which revolves a gilt directional arrow mounted above compass point designations.
