Unrigged model of the clipper ship SUNNY SOUTH made by Henry H.B. Willis, her mate 1845-1855 and master 1856-1858. Solid hull painted black, green serpentine figurehead, square stern, white deckhouses. Holes for masts, capstans and wheel evident. Aft end of wooden cradle missing. SUNNY SOUTH, clipper ship, blt. 1854 at Williamsburg, New York by George Steers, 776 tons, 145 x 31.3 x 16.5. Owned by Napier, Johnson & Co. Sold foreign 1859, became slaver EMANUELA.
