Photograph from the collection of Captain George Comer (1858-1937) of East Haddam, Connecticut. Photo taken by Capt. Comer ca. 1901, at Cape Fullerton or Repulse Bay, Hudson Bay. Depicts an Inuit family. Identified by Comer as an "Eskimo family. Kenepitu Eskimos." This is one of several spellings Comer used to identify the people from the Chesterfield Inlet region. The modern designation for this group is Qaernermiut.
