Image of GREENWICH FOLLY, #G-8, underway, port bow view, rounding buoy which is to the far right. Background: misc. boats. Originally named MISS MOTORMETER, the 27'5" runabout racer was built in 1924 and renamed by 1926 as GREENWICH FOLLY, racing #D4 and then #G-8. She was designed by Frederick K. Lord and built by Henry B. Nevins, Inc. of City Island, New York. Owner and driver George Townsend and his mechanic William Gillette visible. Typed neg. sleeve info.: "24258-F".
