5 x 7 glass plate negative taken by Rosenfeld and Sons on September 24, 1924. Port bow view of the US Coast Guard Patrol Boat CG-100 underway. CG-100 is one of the 75-foot U.S. Coast Guard Patrol Boats that was built as a inshore patrol boat to combat smuggling during Prohibition. It was one of 203 75-footers built by 17 different boat yards. The Coast Guard prepared the preliminary design for this class, and the completed plans were done by John Trumpy of the Mathis yard. The 75-footers were the largest (in number of vessels built) single type constructed for the Coast Guard. Handwritten on original negative sleeve: "CG 100 Rumchaser".
