10x8 black and white copy negative made by Rosenfeld and Sons in 1939. Original negative was photographed September 26, 1939 on Long Island Sound of SEA CLOUD undersail showing a port bow view with all sails out. Originally named HUSSAR, she was a 316 foot 4-masted bark designed by Cox and Stephens and built by Fried Krupp Germaniawerft of Kiel Germany in 1931. The yacht HUSSAR was commissioned by E.F. Hutton for his new wife, Marjorie Meriwether Post Hutton. When the Huttons divorced, Marjorie kept the yacht and in 1935 when she married Joseph Davies the yacht's name was changed to SEA CLOUD. Original neg. sleeve info. handwritten: "Sea Cloud". Stamped upper right side in black ink: "MORRIS ROSENFELD / PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATOR / 116 NASSAU ST. N.Y. / Phone Beekman 3-4970".
