10x8 silver gelatin print made by Rosenfeld and Sons from a negative photographed by them at the 39th New York National Motor Boat Show at the Grand Central Palace in New York City, New York, in January, 1949. Overall view from the 2nd floor looking down at the ground floor at the crowds viewing the new models for that year. In the foreground is a Luders 31' Viking hull only framed so that the interior of vessel can be viewed. To the left in back is a runabout for sale for $3,530.00 with the engine compartment open for viewing. Other models on view are two cruisers for sale from the "Dale Yacht Basin / Bay Head, N.J.", then a Lightning Class sloop, sail #4153 and a sloop with a W logo, sail number #711. Several hanging signs say, "DOUGLASS & MCLEOD" and "SEA BEAVERS". One sign encourages boating by stating, "RELAX / GO BOATING". Typed adhered caption to bottom verso of print states, "From : H. A. Bruno & Associates / 30 Rockefeller Plaza / New York 20, N.Y. / CIrcle 6-8040 / For: National Association of Engine & Boat Manufacturers / OVER THE BOUNDING MAIN. A potpourri of sailboats and cruisers on display at Grand Central Palace during the 39th annual National Motor Boat Show.
