Port bow view of the cutter SHAMROCK under sail at the 1899 America's Cup challenge. Vessel seen reaching on a port tack. The 287' steam yacht ERIN can be seen in the background. SHAMROCK was a British challenger in the 1899 America's Cup race. She was designed by William Fife Jr., and made by Thornycroft in Millwall on Thames, England 1899. Stamped on back in blue rectangular box: "MORRIS ROSENFELD / PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATOR / 116 NASSAU STREET, N.Y. / Phone BEekman 3-4970". Also stamped: "COPYRIGHT / MORRIS ROSENFELD, N.Y.".
