Sopwith's J Class America's Cup challenger ENDEAVOR, work together beneath the "Park Avenue" boom to hoist the mainsail. This deck view shows a close-up of the crew along the port side. ENDEAVOR was a British challenger, she was designed by Charles E. Nicholson and built by Camper & Nicholson Yard, England 1934. Stamped on back in blue rectangle: "MORRIS ROSENFELD & SONS / PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATORS / 163 WEST 23rd ST., N.Y. 10011 / Phone: 989-2404". Handwritten in blue pen on back: "Hoisting Mainsail on Endeavor I. Crew tailing on the halyard 35/107".
