Sopwith's J Class America's Cup challenger ENDEAVOR, work together beneath the "Park Avenue" boom to hoist the mainsail. This deck view shows a close-up of the crew along the port side. ENDEAVOR was a British challenger, she was designed by Charles E. Nicholson and built by Camper & Nicholson Yard, England 1934. Stamped on back in purple oval: "MORRIS ROSENFELD / PHOTOGRAPHIC ILLUSTRATOR / 116 Nassau St. N.Y.C. / BEEKMAN 2850 / Negative No. '69419F'". Handwritten on back: "Endeavor I". NOTE: the front of this image is heavily stamped "PROOF".
