4 x 5 Kodak safety negative taken by Rosenfeld and Sons during the New York Yacht Club Cruise on August 2, 1949. Starboard bow view of the auxiliary yawl BARUNA at sail to the left side of the negative seen passing Race Rock Lighthouse on the right. The lighthouse is located at the entrance to Long Island Sound, in New York state. It was first lit in 1879 and is operated by the U.S. Coast Guard. BARUNA was designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built by the Quincy Adams Yacht Yard in Quincy, MA 1938. She won the Bermuda race in 1938 and 1947.
