5x4 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons in 1951 during the time of the New York Yacht Club Cruise which started August 6th at Fishers Island, New York and ended at Marblehead, Massachusetts on August 9th. Image of CARINA, undersail, starboard beam view, with main reaching and spinnaker set with crew on deck. CARINA, sail #4, was a 46'3" auxiliary yawl by Philip L. Rhodes of Cox & Stevens, Inc. and built by Herman Lund in 1941. she was owned in 1951 by Robert S. and Robert B. Nye and raced extensively. Renamed later as CLAIRE and then CHEE CHEE V.
