7x5 safety negative photographed by Rosenfeld and Sons April 19, 1935. Image of Gerard B. Lambert, owner of the J boat YANKEE, standing at the helm dressed in a suit coat and hat. View was taken from the darker interior of the hatch of the vessel looking up at Lambert, YANKEE's mainsail and in the background a crewman. Lambert was a businessman and heir and president to the company that made Listerine. YANKEE, a 126' J Class sloop, sail #2, was designed by Frank C. Paine and built by George Lawley and Sons Corporation in 1930 was owned by Lambert starting in 1934. He took her to England in 1935 for the competitive sail racing season.
