Image of the 67' Ben Lexcen designed, Alan Bond built 12 meter class sloop SOUTHERN CROSS (built 1974 in Australia) and the 65'6" Olin Stephens designed, Minneford Yacht Yard built 12 meter class sloop COURAGEOUS (built 1974 in City Island, NY) racing on Block Island Sound. Visible in image: port quarter views of "SOUTHERN CROSS" (KA4) and COURAGEOUS (12 / US 26) on a starboard close reach under marconi-rigged mainsail and genoa, a third sail is in the background in the fog.
