Image of PALAWAN undersail, port beam view on a starboard tack with crew and passengers visible on deck. PALAWAN (1st), sail #191, was built in 1952 by Abeking & Rasmussen of Lemwerder, Germany from designs by Sparkman & Stephens, Inc., in 1952. She was later renamed CAPELLA and KAIROS. Her owner in 1955 was George W.W. Brewster. Stamped neg. sleeve info.: "146814F / NEW LONDON - ANNAPOLIS 1955 / [Box] 5440". Handwritten: "PALAWAN / 191 / Winner class B".
